Stop Customizing Gear. Start Cutting Mass.

The dominant narrative wants you to believe that military gear failures are a sign of neglectful design teams failing to consider half the population.

That diagnosis is lazy. It lets procurement officers off the hook for buying over-engineered, heavy gear that breaks soldiers of every size and gender.

If military leadership genuinely cares about troop readiness, tactical mobility, and long-term joint health, they will stop treating this as a niche sizing problem. They will stop handing out multi-million-dollar contracts for specialized, vanity gear lines that get lost in the logistics pipeline.

Strip the weight off the vest. Redesign the plate geometry for human biomechanics, not just standard sizing grids. Rebuild the supply chain so that adjustable equipment actually arrives at the front lines.

Until procurement officers limit the total weight hanging off a soldier's torso, every new "specially designed" kit is just an expensive, comfortable way to break a human spine.
