How long have you done CrossFit?
I’ve lost track, but think it’s 3 years, time flies when you’re having fun.
What do you LOVE seeing on the whiteboard when you get to Fit Club? Why?
Anything to do with running and chipper workouts. Why? Because everyone else seems to hate running. I ran track and cross country in college. After I graduated from The Ohio State University I started running marathons, triathlons and duathons.
What do you HATE seeing on the whiteboard when you get to Fit Club? Why?
Anything to do with thrusters. Why? Plain and simple…I’m not flexible which makes the movement hard for me.
What’s your go-to “cheat” meal? (not that you do it very often, right?)
My diet is pretty bad, so pretty much everything I eat is a cheat meal. How about the reverse question…what’s my favorite Good Girl meal? Cashew cookie, Larabar and Naked Protein shake;)
"The hay is in the barn!" He said it before the Summer Games and it really resonated with me.
What has Fit Club/CrossFit taught you about yourself?
Quoted by the Great Woody Hayes, "There’s nothing that cleanses your soul like getting the hell kicked out of you."
What motivates you to push yourself further?
Keeping the eye on the prize…Crossfit Games, Masters Division.
What advice would you give a person new to CrossFit, or who's only just thinking about getting started?
It’s so much more than working out! It’s my home away from home with the most supportive, inspirational group of people I have ever known. Whatever you are going through, it’s the best therapy you can find…Just do it!
