Beginning this Thursday August 28th at 6:30 PM we will be starting a new class,OCT or Obstacle Course Training. Who is OCT For? You. Whether you're getting ready for a Go Ruck, Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, other obstacle course race or just want to try a fun work out to help you survive the Zombie apocalypse OCT will get you ready. As with all FC programs we modify for anyone and provide a high level of instruction and fun. So you don't need to be trained to train. You just need to start training. What is OCT? We will warm up, work on drills and skills associated with OC Races (obstacle negotiation,pull ups,push ups, tires flipping, sled pulls and object carries) then put it all together at the end for a race designed to test and develop those skills and capacities. Basically it's a fun, experience and science based training approach to OC Races and fitness. When is OCT? We will meet Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM beginning August 28th. The OCT will run September and October. Mid October we will assess Winter plans. Where is OCT? Class will meet at Fit Club at 6:30 PM, We will do a brief intro, load up any necessary gear and conduct the majority of the class at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park Obstacle Course How Much? Your first class is free, after that we will charge $50 for 5 sessions or $90 for 10 sessions. The OCT is FREE to FC Members. What do I bring? Come prepared to work out outside. You should bring water and clothes appropriate for the weather ( hot or cold and wet or dry). We will not be swimming or mud sliding but you should be prepared to get a little dirty. Gloves are not required but are not a bad idea when it comes to tire flips,ropes and basic ground exercises. Why OCT? Because you want to have fun and use your fitness to do some really cool stuff.
