FC Summer Games 5
There is going to be quite a bit going on so pay attention. Through out the day there will be VIP, Expo areas with food, beverage and goodies available for everyone attending the event. More info to follow. All athletes will begin competition on Saturday August 16th in the Scioto Audubon Metro Park. The best athletes will be invited to compete on Sunday August 17th. All athletes will have preassigned “In The Hole”, “On Deck” and “WOD” times for all WODs. These will be assigned ahead of time and will NOT change on the day of the event. These will be your assigned times they are not suggestions,so be where you need to be when you need to be there. If you miss your spot you may have to DNF the WOD. Don't be that guy. If you have a lot going on these days and need to request a specific time or are thinking you’ll skip some events competing in this event is NOT for you, we would love to have you be part of the volunteer crew or enjoy the event as a spectator. We are confident that following the assigned heat schedule will enable every athlete to finish competing within 5 hours of their start time. Start time on Saturday will range from 8 AM-11 AM. In July Registered athletes will start getting emails with instruction on start times and other event info. If you are planning on doing the event, please register now it will fill up fast. Once we reach capacity we will start a wait list. If you are not sure you can make it please do NOT register until you are confident you will attend the event.The Spot Athletics In addition to the competition you are all accustomed to we have partnered with JL Holdsworth & The Spot Athletics to present The first FC Games Push Pull Power lifting event. Join us Saturday August 16th from Noon - 4pm for the coolest Push/Pull (bench/deadlift) event ever held. This official powerlifting meet will give you a chance to showcase your strength in an unbelievable environment. This one of a kind meet will be held outside with the city skyline as our backdrop. So come get some PR's, bragging rights and have a great time. The Meet will run Saturday from 12-4. Athletes will not be able to compete in both the FC Games and The Push/Pull but it’s a really cool idea, help make the first one awesome and we’ll make it more awesome the next year. Volunteers- Many hands make light weight baby!
This entire weekend is about cool people doing awesome stuff and we need your help to pull it all off. From set up and tear down, food and beverage,entertainment and vendors and judges,lifters and exercisers. We need you to make it as awesome as it can be, so register to volunteer here. Volunteers will be assigned to specific WODs/Shifts. All volunteers are required to register. All volunteers are required to work one full WOD or Shift. Shifts will be assigned after registration. All registered volunteers will receive a t-shirts and VIP Passes so register here and show up when assigned. We need Volunteers for the following positions:
Registration & Scoring - Detail Oriented, Commitment,Spreadsheet/Data Ninja Skills, Must be cool in general and under pressure Register here
WOD Operations/Gear- Must be awesome at moving gear and following directions. Register Here
Judging- Must be one of the coolest people you know and awesome at making decisions and enforcing standards. A CF L1, coaching or judging experience is NOT required but preferred. We are teaming up with other local affiliates to create a central ohio judges cooperative. Members of this organization will receive free admission into several yearly clinics and training sessions. Pre event training is available. The best candidates will be paid for the event. Register here
