Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step. Lao Tzu

Things are about to get spicy.  Many of you are questioning the term about (Canadian Accent). We always train hard and do our best to provide the best programming possible. That's not what I'm talking about. It doesn't matter if you are training for the Open , another event or just for fun. It is still important to prioritize certain aspects of our training. While strength is always a priority, in the late summer and fall we focus on general strength development and athleticism. Now it is time to refine some technique, build positional strength and rev the engine. This mean about two times per week we are going to be breathing pretty hard. We have also added more of a rowing focus to Thursdays classes. Don't worry this is also still scalable and appropriate for all, your needs vary by degree not type. This also doesn't mean strength isn't a priority or that your going to lose any. It is not uncommon for athletes to get stronger when that isn't the focus and some develop better technique simply by getting stronger. The best way to figure out what works best is to conduct you're own experiment ( It's not an official study but we know those are bullshit anyway). Record your numbers over the next 9-15 weeks and see where they go. Keep in mind you have to ride the train for a bit to see where it goes.If you have questions about this just asks  coach
