Day Three

Max turned on us! One minute he was barking orders the next he’d be staring blankly at a wall. The moments of lucidity were fewer and fewer until one time he simply rolled his eyes back in his head and tried to bite Van, who narrowly escaped by pulling himself up out of the way on a nearby tree limb. Due to some fast thinking Ken  and Hal shot him down and Mitch chopped his body to pieces and burned them. Good thing we found those guns and had them handy. We think there’s some sort of virus that gets transmitted once you’re bitten. We are constantly on the run from crowds of these deaders. They don’t seem to move too quickly though, so it’s only the slowest of us who get caught. Last night, a few of us were looking for food when we came upon a group we had to run from. CB didn’t make it, while the rest of us ran ahead and leaped a barricade to get away. The screams he let off as he was being torn to pieces and eaten alive were almost primal. He was quickly put out of misery by the grenade MT tossed back as we ran. We dropped to the ground as soon as we got over the wall to avoid shrapnel then were back on our feet in no time to run out of there; I never thought burpees would save my life. Will the nightmare end?...
